INTERINSTITUTIONAL COOPERATION FOR FORMATION OF A POLITICAL-STRATEGIC FRAMEWORK IN TERRITORIALIZED MANAGEMENT BASED ON THE ECOLOGY OF KNOWLEDGE (TERESA COURSE)
The course seeks to explore the different ways in which territories and knowledge are mutually produced, constituting new forms of political thought and action. With two classes of 20 students each, located in Paraty and Angra dos Reis, the course began in 2020 with the first class and in 2023 with the second. The course lasts six semesters, covering six mandatory subjects and six optional subjects of free choice. Promoted by the Angra dos Reis Institute of Education (Fluminense Federal University), Bocaina Observatory of Sustainable and Healthy Territories (OTSS), Integrated Management Center - Paraty of the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation (ICMBIO) and Angra Ecological Protection Society (SAPE), the course aims to integrate theory and practice to foster socio-environmental and political development in the participating communities.

PROBLEM SOLVED
The Bocaina territory faces a significant lack of effective public policies that meet the specific demands of local communities, especially traditional ones. In addition, the region faces socio-environmental challenges, such as the degradation of natural resources and the lack of basic infrastructure. These vulnerabilities highlight the need for an educational approach that explores the interactions between territories and knowledge, promoting a broader understanding of local challenges.
To address these problems, a course is being implemented that addresses crucial topics such as sustainable development, territorial governance and the appreciation of traditional knowledge. The course trains students to act consciously and engagedly in the transformation of these realities, equipping them with the necessary tools to effectively contribute to the strengthening and revitalization of the Bocaina territory. By integrating theory and practice, the course not only broadens the understanding of local challenges, but also trains professionals to develop and implement solutions that promote sustainability and socio-environmental justice in the region.

SOLUTION ADOPTED
The Lato Sensu Postgraduate Program in Territorial Management and Knowledge (TERESA) is the only public, free, in-person postgraduate program offered by public institutions throughout the Bocaina and Baía da Ilha Grande region. As such, it contributes to the professional, technical, and political training of a population that would only have access to postgraduate studies by traveling to large centers. In addition, the course's themes and conceptual approach are aligned with the areas of activity of IEAR/UFF, APA Cairuçu (ICMBio), and OTSS, and are articulated with local demands and the agendas of the FCT and social movements in the region.
